Emergency Health Insurance
My roommate Mark has been in the city for around five years now, and when I moved here two summers ago he was basically my tour guide. We have a lot of similarities, like sports, playing ball and lifting, and both take much pleasure in throwing down a blanket next to a cooler of beer and meeting some ladies at the beach. We were at the beach a lot this past summer and met a lot of women, but the fun soon turned to serious business in September.
With a possible recession just a hint back then, Mark’s company warned them of possible layoffs on the horizon. He’s been there for about three years now, but he said he’s still one of the newest guys and was definitely on the chopping block. About a month went by with no news, but about three weeks ago he came home and kicked down his bedroom door after he punched a hole in the wall. Apparently he was one of three people they let go, and even though they provided him with severance he was still upset that a few other guys stayed on that should’ve been fired.
Moneywise he was OK, but as active as he is he was worried about losing his benefits. As I said before, he’s a pretty active guy so if he breaks an ankle playing ball or tears something while lifting he’s in some serious trouble without insurance. So that night while I was online I looked around for some health insurance sites, and after filtering through a few I finally found one that made sense.
I don’t know a whole lot about health insurance, but the home page of this site put everything in perspective for me. As I dug deeper into the site I found a directory that had every type of health insurance listed with an informative article linked to it, and I knew I had to show Mark.
After he read it through he filled out the form on the home page, then after a consultation with a specialist he had a specialized plan in action a few days later. I am glad I found Mark this site, because he may have put it off and gotten injured with no insurance, and I can’t imagine going out on the weekends without my wingman!
